From Life Coach to AI Pioneer: Why the Pivot Made Perfect Sense

When people find out I spent years as a life coach — NLP master practitioner, TEDx speaker, hypnotherapist — and now I build AI systems for businesses, they expect the story of a pivot. A complete reinvention.

But from where I'm standing, it's the same work. Different tools.

The core problem has always been the same

In coaching, I spent every session trying to answer one question: what's the pattern that's keeping this person stuck?

In AI operations, I spend every project trying to answer the same question: what's the pattern that's keeping this business stuck?

The methodology — observe the system, find the bottleneck, interrupt the loop, install a better one — doesn't change. What changes is whether the “system” is a human nervous system or a business operation.

Once I saw that clearly, everything clicked.

What shifted for me in 2024

I'd been running X-Online, my digital agency, for over a decade. Websites, SEO, paid ads — all of it. I was good at it. But I could see what was coming.

The businesses that were going to win the next decade weren't going to be the ones with the best website. They were going to be the ones that could operate faster, make better decisions, and serve customers at scale — without proportionally growing their team or burning out their people.

That's an AI story. And I decided I needed to be in it — not watching from the outside.

So I went deep. I built things. I broke things. I rebuilt them better. And somewhere in that process, I realised I wasn't just learning a new skill. I was finding the next expression of the same mission I'd always had: helping driven people and businesses perform at their actual ceiling.

What this means for you

If you're a business owner reading this in 2026, you're at a real inflection point. The AI tools available today are not the clunky automations of five years ago. They reason. They remember. They learn. And they're deployable by normal human beings — not just data scientists.

My background means I approach this differently than most tech consultants. I think about the human side first: the decision-making, the delegation, the trust, the culture change that comes with introducing AI. Then I build the systems to support it.
